Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Enormous! I envy you the bike. It is too dangerous here for me.

Bigger than life, indeed! A heroic portrayal. I'd be surprised if the survivors felt anything close to this by the time they got out. It's a marvellous photograph. Love the composition!

I have stood in that exact spot when traveling west with my brother when he drove 18 wheelers from Wisconsin to California....After several times that way I finally asked him to deviate from the course and wanted to see this park..Nice to see it again...Thanks for sharing!....(smiles)...

Wonderful capture and information. I knew the story but did not know that a few survived!
