I have to assume that Amiens, like many of the other great Gothic cathedrals, is not easy to photograph, because of the monumental facade, because of its enormously rich statuary, because of its massivity. It would seem to throw one back on one's camera. When I get to Europe again, one day, I will try my hand at the great Gothics, Amiens, Rouen, Chartres, Strasbourg, etc, etc, and see if I can tackle these most mountainous of facades. You have captured not only its frontal "assault" (if one can use such a strong word), but also the massive detail contained in its every recess. And you gave us the doorways to the steeples in one shot. A fine capture of a monumental architectural statement, and good clear light with enough sky at top to give us some perspective. The Gothic architects left no space 'unturned', they filled it all with statuary, tracery, recessed lines, arches, etc; so capturing these is like capturing an overgrown forest. There's so much to capture. A very clear shot of a medieval masterpiece.
