Description
playing with PS, trying to learn how to blend without losing detail. I've determined that key to this process is the blending options panel and splitting the slider by holding down the alt key. Anyway, wish me luck!

In a way it reminds me of Piranesi's "prison" prints...very interesting composition

Cool Image!

Your images have been getting scarier and more disturbing... Is it just an exploration of the new genre, or is there something more sinister or upsetting behind it? The image itself is great. And scary. I'm just starting to get worried though.

Antaran, perhaps a touch of melancholy. Last year I retired, but a month ago, it was back into the workforce. A good opportunity for me to make a few extra bucks for myself and my family. The macabre helps remind me that while things can be good, there are always challenges to be met and that as much as possible, it is important to try to do your best. Work can be confusing and while I'm having a blast, sometimes I want to scream. About the horror genre, I am exploring it. I find it difficult to do without it seeming shallow and stale. So I attempt to add the absurd and a touch of off-beat humor which sometimes strikes a note of surreal. But this last image is probably best described as a happy screaming accident where three or four recent images fit together much better than I thought they would. A PS exercise was all it was. Dante, thank you for mentioning Piranesi -- I am in fact thinking about ordering some books about him from Amazon. I thank you for this! Thank you everyone for your comments -- they keep you plugging along!!!

It looks to me like you did what you set out to do. I can't immerse myself in the thought behind this one because it's totally foreign to my nature, but I think you express yourself well.

You've always shown distinctive style and you've come up with something new and interesting yet again (at least for many of us - I don't know Piranesi's work or if this resembles yours). I like the clarity of the different layers - like sharp but shattered reflections - really adding to the sense of inexplicable and alarming action in your scenes. I'm not a horror fan but I think you're largely succeeding in avoiding stale and shallow horror cliche's! Well done!

Striking image, the lighting and shadows, like a nightmare! Beautifully made, but I am happy for you, the answer given to Antaran! A aprova completely successful!

MUHAHAHAHA!!! I love it! Horror. Phallic. Industrial. Ambitious to say the least. Sometimes on this site I bump into people & I can't figure out how they did it. Not just great composition here, inspiring execution.
