Description

Just a plain medieval/fantasy composition, inspired by a scene in "Game Of Thrones" seas. 2. I'm still on my old "small" computer, and decided to install Vue (7) anyway last week, it runs surprisingly well, but it helps that I really know how to work around resource limitations:) Biggest noticable difference: Render time! Toolbox: Vue 7, Poser, Onyxtree, Photoshop. Items from DAZ, C3D and myself. Thanks for taking a look, comments etc. welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars

An excellent scene and goes to show, once again, that Vue can do amazing stuff on many computers and in different versions. Great sky.

well believe it or not Vue 7 runs a little better on my "new" computer than Vue 10...although Vue 10 still runs good....so I do like Vue 7 it is not the version of the software to determine the looks on your image as much as how well you can create using it....

OK, first off, its a beautiful picture as always. Since I feel absolutely rotten today, I'm going to be a bit picky about a few details. First, given the setting I assume tower is a watchtower (in England or English holdings on the continent?) to give early warning of the approach of Vikings. A medieval version of Chain Home if you will (see a history of the Battle of Britain if you are unfamiliar with the term). the flag on tower might be a bit problematic depending on the time this picture is supposed to represent. Flags as such weren't used till about the beginning of the Renaissance. The flag itself looks to be a flag of the royal Plantagenet family, but who knows. Anyways its always fun to study the details in your pictures, and I better stop now before I write an entire historical treatise on your picture.

I love the sky and the atmosphere. The light is perfect for the time of day. And the clouds are interestingly non-uniform. Did you use more than one type of cloud? They seem very realistic. The scene is cool, but I don't know enough about the show to know what's your work and what's not. For instance, I find the tents outside the castle a nice touch, but I don't know if that's your touch or the original scene. Either way, you executed them well. Overall, this is very realistic work with good composition and great light.
