Such lovely textures and patterns, leading my eyes on a merry chase all around the image, yet coming back to the same place again and again. Wonderful image!

This certainly looks like my wild Mint, from my herb garden, great for adding to cooking, (maybe Melissa belongs to the Mint family?) a dark and sombre image and it reminds me somehow of the title: 'Trauer muss Elektra tragen' by Eugene O'Neill, (Mourning becomes Elektra) BB

I can only do a couple of images every few days, right now, so my hand can heal. But it's not easy when there are several new Nikolay pieces to comment on. I picked this because you got such life in such a simple capture---a collection of leaves, in clusters (as leaves will do). Your texturing and your light & dark are beautifully proportioned; and your hues---a slightly greenish, ever-so-slightly yellowish black and white---are in such beautiful proportion, they seem like they were sitting there waiting for you to find them. It's intense, very present, very mysterious...and you transformed what might have been a good but uneventful shot of leaves into something very mysterious, alive and revelatory. Beautiful work, Nikolay. Once more, it's just beautiful. You make me rethink photography every time I come here. I don't know how you do it. I go back to my photographs and shout, "what are you people DOING??? Have you been to Nikolay's gallery??? GET WITH IT, PEOPLE! You've been lazy as all hell!" Once again, I hope you and your family are doing well with the great loss you had. And the children as well. I know it's a journey, and it will remain one for a long time to come. Many blessings & light your way, Nikolay. I'll be back again soon...
