Description

Zephonith, is one of the many names of Lilith. I am not certain, but it sounds like a female form of Zephon, who is the Hebrew version of the dragon Typhon in Greek mythology. So Zephonith seems to be a female Typhon, the storm dragon. So do you dare to pass through the gate of Zephonith and dance with her storm beasts? They will cloud your mind with delusion and stir up your thoughts with the winds of change. They will blind your eyes with bolts of lightning and shatter the mirror of your truth. And when you are then tumbling in confusion, thrown about by the storm of doubt their thunderous voices will crumble the tower of your believe and unleash the whirlwinds of the lie. But if you prevail, and let your inner light guide you, if you are true to your very self, you shall be enfolded in the ecstasy of knowledge and ride the tempest of Zephonith. (watercolor and ink) Thanks for the peek, and comments you may leave. Ash

I quite like this, but have some quibbles. Her head is a bit too small. The image REALLY needs more contrast, as in shadows. and given the look of it, the light should be tinted as in torchlight of firelight. But lack of shadows really hurts it. I'd have liked to have seen at least one of her hands. Hiding both of them gives it an unbalanced feeling. And the too small head really bugs me. Still, it's a good start.

I quite like the flow of this one. It has a nice reptilian, scaley undercurrent which you have pushed in the wings and on her dress. I guess bonestruture has missed that this series is done in a flat style where shadows are not used to create depth..oh well.
