Well done Harry. My parents are in Florida National Cemetery. The National Cemeteries are so well kept and pristine. I join in thanking them and their families for their service to our country.

as I said, I can only do 2 comments per, right now, and that means I'll catch up over time. But I had to make this one of my first since returning. The shot is simple & touching, because you've allowed us to see not only the symmetry and good upkeep of the cemetery, but you've given a hint of its size, its scope & vastness. And in the background we see cars, some people, etc. People visit, even on non-holidays, which is good. I see you captured this on the 25th, because I imagine if you caught it on Memorial Day proper, you'd have to brave crowds. You wrote "my fellow veterans," and that moved me greatly, because it reminds us all that you aren't just photographing veterans, but that you are one of them. That you were there, and you saw, and you experienced, and went through it with them. And I'm sure you remember so many you fought with, those who came back and those who didn't. I'm very grateful when you post these pieces, because you're one of a small number of others on RR who have the sacred right to speak for all who fought (and even those who served, but not in battle---they had to be prepared, and that counts too); and when I saw this I felt I was in a sacred space. (I was in a sacred space.) Beautiful. And, once more, I bow to your service & sacrifice, as well as all those who gave the same. There shouldn't be 'one day' for this, but at least the day gives the rest of us a chance to stop and remember. Thank you for this and for your service. (I posted a remembrance in my gallery, monday, and mentioned you. While I mentioned all the veterans in my gallery---that I know of---I mentioned you first, because I felt you should be first. It's just a token, but I didn't forget. With a bad hand, it was hard for me to write letters yesterday, so I did a kind of "joint" remembrance instead. But just know I haven't forgotten any of you...)

A super POV and perspective Harry. Memorial Day breaks my heart. So many young men and women from all 50 states and all over the world. Buddies, friends and best friends. My mind folds into my body, for the whole day. I miss you Jeff! http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=2064671&user_id=331997&page=45&member&np
