Description

I wanted to create an image with a more illustrative feel, like an image for a book cover or a poster. Not sure it's a success, but that's what I had in mind. Don't hesitate to watch fullsize. As usual, posed and set up in Daz Studio. Materials tweaking, lighting and rendering in Octane Render. Background made in Vue and Gimp. I used a HDRI and meshlights for lighting and pathtracing kernel with alpha channel. Postwork in Gimp for resizing, signature, background compositing and smoke. would make an excellent recruitment or movie poster. The background "slash" across him is a nice touch. I like the very slight dof on gun and man, you absolutely get a good feeling of depth and space. I like the colors used very much. Composition wise, the gun points you out of the picture, but I understand why it is as you have it. Don't know what to do about it other than provide more fore ground and perhaps a small mouse or some such that it is pointed at and I think the result would just overly complicate what is currently simple and elegant. Super work!!!
