Description

OK - so I'm playing around in Vue 10 - trying to come up with a few landscapes to use in a couple upcoming TNA pages... I wanted a hillside covered with trees, brush, a few bits of glade, and so on for the Girls to run through. Still in the learning mode (i.e. not knowing what the heck I'm doing....LOL), I played around a bit with the Eco-painter tool. Very cool.... I was kinda happy with what I saw, so I set the render size to 3360 X 2100 pixels; superior quality. Thirty-four hours later..... Thank God for quad cores and multitasking... ;-P I've been in kind of a blue funk the last few days, but getting back to normal, now. I'm learning bit-by-bit more about Vue and Hexagon - I'll be tackling DAZ4 and maybe a bit of Blender soon as well - assuming my head doesn't explode first! Thanks for all the great comments on my last couple posts! I really appreciate all of them! Hope everyone has an awesome weekend!

Ohh Rob, Buddyyyy!!! this is fantastic. Ohh man, what a terrific landscape. You know, I am very partial to them. Before I was a Poser nut I was a Bryce freak, lol and made hundreds of images, not such as good as this one thou. This is simple great, pal! The textures are terrific and ambiance is just perfect! Right on!!!

Rod, that's really something else. You really have a great facility with Vue and I can hardly wait to see what you'll come up with next. Awesome.. and with that render time a testament of your patience too! hugs I know about the blue funks.. I've been there too. I'm glad you're coming out of it.

Super start Rod. I'll send you some render tips too that should cut back on render time. Indeed the larger the image, the longer the time.

A beautiful Vue scene you have created here, you are making great progress. I haven't found that Eco-painter tool yet so you are a way ahead of me. I hope you have a great weekend.

this is so cool... it ALMOST makes me want to get into vue - lol... I just don't like the fact that I've been in poser over 5 years and feel like I only know 10% of the program - lol... I have so much crap in my poser files that I don't remember what is what - I'll think of an image to make and I'll say, can't do it, I don't remember where that prop or figure is.... so yeah, I steer away from vue - for now - but I love what you created here.

I don't know the details of what you're learning, and not being a 3D artist I have no real sense of what it involves; but if this is something you're doing "in the meantime," I don't know if I could take it when you get it all together, lol. This is marvelous! The slope of your image is looming and beautiful. The break into mists & clouds, equally so. The detail of the ground---ie, the grasses as well as of the soil---is splendidly complex. Your light on the ground is very strong (setting off the shadows all the more). And the way it all breaks into open sky on the right is wonderful. A magic, enchanted fairy-tale landscape, wonderfully bright and playful and filled with terrific detail. Love it. I like it so much I don't wanna see anyone else on it, lol. I don't know anything about how you add people to landscapes in 3D, and I'm sure you'll make magic when you do. But this piece is wonderful.
