Description

Full Size, you'll see Grain and a little bit of 'pink'. But with the 2MP Nikon, I couldn't control it all... But I love this part of the city: In dawn light, I never tire of the mystery or sweep of 'my lake'. Hope I captured some of it here...
* * * Much better Zoomed: It's really big! Thanks once more for your wonderful support. Have a fine weekend, Mark

A two megapixel Nikon? Did anything like that actually exist? Good lawd, that is really going back into antiquity. From the era of slide rules, 8-track tapes and the abacus. But I digress. A splendid sweeping purplish ambience of the jogging path and runners, your Lake Michigan in the middle, with the Chicago skyline looming majestically in the background, Mark.

If you told me the grain is really there at that hour of the morning, I would believe you, having no recent experience of such an event. :P I love the pink. It marks the scene so clearly as sunrise, as opposed to any other time, and it's glorious!

You have made even the nightmarish buildings quite beautiful! The light is gorgeous, and the expanse of open space such a contrast with the city.

Your love for the city and lake are really evident; the grain adds to the mystical feeling, as though none of it is real and might evaporate as the sun rises. Beautiful capture, Mark!

A very beautiful scene you have captured with the sunlight just touching some of the buildings and the beautiful pink glow that is only there at this time of the day. What a great place to take a walk or a run to set you up for the day. I can feel the early morning crispness before the heat of the day, well worth getting up for.
