Description

Same photo as last night. Too lazy to change it, lol... Last night I said we'd had 3 'brown-outs' in my neighborhood. (A brown-out's a blackout with some power.) Well, our power's back today, but they told us to expect more. I can't complain because our building has a generator, whereas many have none, and people can get very ill in bad heat... But! I'm able to comment on-and-off, when the power's full. I also said I'd be away a few days. I will. So the birthdays in my gallery will get my dedis late. Just want you to know I didn't forget... If I sounded frazzled last night, I was. We've had so many problems here, some of us were ready to scream. I hope to get a dedi up tonight though. I'll be back later today...
Have a wonderful Friday, all! Mark Again, that's Lake Michigan up there, and again, I have no clue where the 'halo' came from! it's kinda cute though, so I decided to keep it in...

Awesome contrast of colors Mark! A beauty. Wishing you all the best. We have predicted temps of -2C tonight - which in our terms is about as cold as it gets....

Thank you for sharing this glorious image with us once again Mark, and giving us this update. Sorry to hear about the power situation not improving, and I share your concern for those who have trouble coping with it due to health issues. It's my fear that due to over regulating our power industries many of them have had to close in recent months and these brownouts may become a common occurrence. I know of several closing in Illinois alone with more slated later this year.

What a wonderful rich colored sunrise, Mark. The sky is simply fantastic. I am sorry you still have some troubles with the internet connection and the power. Pretty annoying, I am sure. I hope it will up very soon in full power.

Such a dramatic change from the top of the photo to the bottom. The top is relatively sedate with a few broken clouds floating against the blue firmament, whereas the bottom is a virtual Dante's Inferno, or perhaps clouds and smoke roiling from a nuclear explosion, the scene just bursting with reds, blacks, and heat, Mark. And, sorry about your annoying and frustrating brown-outs. That's almost a Middle Ages environment, with candles, lanterns, torches, and wood-burning stoves.

I love the vivid colours in this excellent capture. The lake looks as though it is boiling with the heat from the sun and then that contrasts so beautifully with the upper clouds. You sound to be having real problems with your power at the moment. I'm glad to hear that your building has a generator so that you can keep cool in the heat. Down here we need the heat as we have had snow near us so it is pretty cold.

What a lovely shot. And such a range of emotion, from the calming blue above to the fiery sun below. I can sure relate to power problems. We get them in the mountains. Lose electricity quite often, and it can shut down the internet for a day or longer. Drives me nuts. CC

Still gorgeously brilliant; good luck with the power issues, that would be so annoying!
