Description
Now here's a mile long "65" Cadillac-Convertible Land Cruiser, probably one of the largest car's ever built, and it's not likely you'll ever see cars built this big again, and me frankly feel really bad about that. I always thought the larger car's were the safer rides on the road, and I also know they could make these kinds of rides good on gas as they do with the smaller car's but decline to do so. I also feel today's car's are way over priced for what you get today, all one would have to do is drive this Cadillac then drive one of the smaller rides today and you would realize the great difference in ride and the safe feel of having a smooth as silk beauty on the road. I will always love the older larger cars of the past. My opinion here, you don't have to agree with me, but I felt I needed to write this here. Hope you like. Thanks for all your comments on yesterday's ride, it is great to read your thoughts.

Amen! To that, Stan! Even imports are changing. My wife's mid '90's Honda Accord EX is a pleasure to drive... soft, comfortable touring suspension. My mother-in-law's '10 Honda Accord feels like a tin can on wheels. But, please don't let her hear me saying that:( Great ride...too bad the price of petrol keeps me from driving anything with more than 6 cylinders(another heavy sigh):(

Absolutely splendid car - peace of design art. I wish the 50-ies and 60-ies were back :-).

When seeing a Cadillac such as this I think of Nick Nolte in 48 hours and his comment....Well hell ....I'm a rag top man!....and so is I....(smiles)...

I agree! The ride in these land yachts is amazing when compared to the down-sized buggies of today! I had a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado convertible and an 1979 Lincoln Mark V at one time! They both had incredibly smooth rides. The Cadillac even did better than 20mpg on the highway as I recall. Not too bad for an over 500 cubic inch displacement engine! Thanks for sharing this beautiful photo and the memories this car brings back!
