Description
I've posted a few pictures of views from my workplace, The Fort, The Lighthouse and the River Mersey and I've said it's my favourite view.....hmmmm! maybe..... :-) THIS YOU HAVE TO ZOOM!! As you stand near the Windmills looking towards KOS, to your left the upper image of Bodrum with it's prominent castle. To the right, the lower image, Gumbet Bay.Hard to believe this was once a few fishermans shacks and a boatyard building gullets. Actually the boatyard is still there, no electricity the boats are built entirely by hand, a medium size gullet takes about 3 years.....
Well that's about it from Turkey, time to return to 'the real world'....fortunately it's only a couple of weeks til my next 'trip', the sleepy, historic town of Stamford is calling....the quiet purrrr of 'Merlins' is on the breeze. This had me back tracking through my Gallery and 'HORROR' I only have two 'Legends' images left after my clear out!! So, by way of a lead up to this years quiet weekend I thought I might post a few aviation 'snaps'....more history I'm affraid but a bit more up to date.....

Wowser! Outstanding images! Nicely done. :) It's your own fault about the Legends images ... I still haven't forgiven you for the clearout! Well ... forgiven, yes, but I still wonder at your sanity. There was so much good stuff ... !!! Ah well.

Beautiful landscapes or should I say bayscapes Neil? Turkey seems very exotic to me but one day we'll have to visit. Will keep KOS and Bodrum Castle in mind for that day. Glad you and Rob are getting back to Legions! Wish I was going too.

Great pair of panoramas Neil! I particularily like the one of the castle from the water side - great overview. The knights sure knew how to situate it well. Looks quite impregnable. The millers sure had a nice view. I've really enjoyed your/our vacation to this corner of the world! Thanks a lot for bringing us, and for the guided tours! Keep up the good work! :-)
