Description

This pair of green parrots were not caged but very happy sitting on this branch in south Miami, Florida. I can’t find any information about green parrots, this size, with the red facial feathers. They were about a 12 inches (30 cm) long. Photo taken April 2012. Still so busy but only about 2 or 3 days behind in my commenting! Do zoom! Great color, clarity, texture, and lighting effects in this capture of the twin parrots, Dana. It didn't seem to ruffle their feathers.

a really large parrot flew over me recently while I was getting the mail.I wish I knew how to attract them. there are 1000's of Lorakeets living in the wild here

Yes! These are Amazon parrots! And lovely ones!! There are SO many kinds, I'm not EXACTLY sure what kind, but I am leaning toward the red-lored Amazon. I'll have to do some research and get back to you, LOL. GREAT capture!!
