Took this shot one evening on the way home from a trip to Copenhagen. I was not driving the car ;)
Have a beautiful tuesday.
Weather has been very nice today. My hand is still getting better and I am carefully working on the Pastell still-life :) One or two more days and it is done.

The clouds are lovely, but the picture makes me feel melacholy. I think it reminds me of having to leave the beach in the evenings when I was a child.

I think it's wonderful that, while I do sunrises, you do sunsets. It's all because of where we live. You see these gorgeous sunsets, and I see gorgeous sunrises. This is another beauty from you. You know, some of the first pieces I saw of yours were of low late-day light against these beautiful fields. Here, you got the spectacular light behind the clouds, the beautiful silken rays above that dark cloud, the contrasts between the sun & dark cloud (dark on our end but not on the sun's end, of course), and you gave a generous portion of silhouetted land on the bottom. And how in the world you got that tree perfectly lined up with the sun---in a moving car---I don't know. I'm glad you weren't driving: You needed all your concentration to get this shot. It's beautiful, and restful. And I remember days, too, having to leave the beach, because the sun was setting: We didn't see the sun against the lake, since the lake hit our town on the east; but I remember feeling melancholy that I had to go home now...But it's a splendid time of day, what one writer calls the "genius" time of day; and you captured all of that beautifully here.
