Greetings to one and All!
It's Wednesday and here is something new for all you auto enthusiasts that may remember an ole 1971 Commander Cody Song that goes something like this..
My pappy said, "Son, you're gonna' drive me to drinkin'
If you don't stop drivin' that
Hot...
Rod...
Lincoln...
It's got eight cylinders; uses them all.
It's got overdrive, just won't stall.
With a 4-barrel carb and a dual exhaust,
With 4.11 gears you can really get lost.
It's got safety tubes, but I ain't scared.
The brakes are good, tires fair.
Now all of a sudden she started to knockin',
And down in the dips she started to rockin'.
I looked in my mirror; a red light was blinkin'
The cops was after my Hot Rod Lincoln!
Recently while listening to 70's music on Sirius Radio this Ole' song came on which got my muse riled and all these light bulbs went off and my imagination began seeing this image...So the only thing I needed to complete this was to go through my folders and see if by chance I happened to have a Lincoln in my arsenal that I had not yet got around to modifying/customizing and sure enough there one was..So the above scene and customization came into being as I did some research on this particular 1956 Lincoln to make sure I kept it as close to original as possible but also add my 2 cents so to speak and make it my own.
Reason it's in 2 parts(collage)is that I thought maybe some here would like to see the model by itself and then used in an action sequence.Basically 2 for the price of one..(smiles)...
So without further ado....
I present this one appropriately titled "Hot Rod Lincoln" for your viewing pleasure...(smiles)..

Your spot on from what I remember, awesome detail here. Oh and yes, love the song...my mom loved all the old stuff (or REAL Country music as I like to call it) like that, trucker songs, Hank Snow, Roy Acuff, Jim Reeves -all of the above- right on up through to when she was banned from enjoying music thx to an unmentionable source. Ha! again, super job on this Will.

Now these days most the cars, trucks look the same to me So nice to see what cars use to look like? And oh how fun they were to drive Except the 56 Chevy I drove once The seat was too far back Could not reach the pedals So next the day I was to drive a truck Oops, clutch In reverse of all things Hit the Chevy And after that happened, I stayed away from it lol now that I got off the subject at hand this is cool as the memories smile warm hugs, Linda
