Description

Neither, ' Crap British weather'.... Duxford Flying Legends 2009 looked like a washout when Rob and I arrived. However 'cometh the hour, cometh the sun'..as flight time approached the rain stopped, the clouds broke and ran as the Warbirds took to the sky. Well that's how it seemed (and the weekend did involve a little bit of beer..) Three Focker DrI's and a ? (sure Rob can help out here) I took the picture and never even noticed the one behind. The one in the air is a Tiger Moth, giving pleasure flights, I DID know that was there :-) and it fits in quite nicely I think. I didn't expect people to notice the 'Transit vans' in yesterdays post.(silly me :-)I will not be making that mistake again....

Sorry mate but I think I spy a Ford Mondeo about 4 miles away on the left of the picture. Seriously though...what an amazing line up! Also what a dream to be able to fly one of those. Grainy look makes it seem if it were taken in 1917. Zoom in a must here to appreciate this in all it's glory :)

Hmmmm... Snoopy (and the Red Baron?) perhaps? Man, this is a great "vintage" photo! The fog sure adds to the atmosphere! It also hides undesireables (like the B727 passenger plane passing overhead). Nice work with the film grain. The Royal Air Force after all cutbacks? Ready for WWIII? That would really piss off the collectors! Whitehall, Parliament, MPs, WATCH OUT! Keep up the good work! :-)

A great image of the Fokkers and what appears to be a Nieuport 17. This picture very much looks like a typical period scene. Good work.

Here we have Cam's new line up for the RAF! With help from German money and the EU, he was assured these were the latest designs! The Jerk! If it was was 2009 mate, looking at the line up, it looks like it was the Neiuport 17/23 Replica they had there.. Nothing on the list.. Great work on this mate.. There are rumors that 3 Corsairs are going to be there this year.. And, 3 Sea Furies! Joy! Great work mate.. Feeling better by the way... So looking good! Rob
