B&W gives this a timeless feel, as though it were a foto found in a box and retouched to bring it back. I can almost see a man and woman in a rowboat slowly floating along the water. She would have a sweet parasol and they would have a picnic somewhere along the bank. What a great shot!!

Indeed it does! I love these places in cities, room to breathe and get calm again.

What a simply beautiful photo Mark, and very clever of you to notice how much it does look like an etching. This is one of those photos that is literally loaded with detailing, and almost too much to take in at first glance. An image like this is meant to be studied closely in order to pick out all of the hidden gems within. Thanks for making my day a little brighter ;)

Now, here I shouldnt have read what Marilyn wrote LOL! Now I see it too. It is a mighty beautiful effect you gave this shot. And I have seen severel shot of that place and they are also very beautiful like this one. It is almost impressionistic and the composition is just perfect for a painting.

I like both each for their own kind of effect but the etched effect appeals to me more for the impact created by sharpening the detail it gives it a more appealing dimension! more drawing power it makes you just want to get involved in the journey into the image, whereas the other is colourful and painterly and a nice resting place for the eyes. You did great on both works my friend!!

Stark contrast and a precise etching effect in this super black and white panorama, Mark!

How lovely! This reminds me of the duck bay at the Seattle arboretum. I love the postwork, you did good!
