A part of my answer to alida. The entrance to the Desert Refuge is thru a cave below on the right flank. This refuge, is on the extreme right into the cliff, above the Monastery of St George.

recently I seen on TV about another monastery that dates from 397 A.D., about 200 years before the prophet Mohammed that only has a fine balance with the Muslim neighbors in Turkey superb photography
