Description

This was captured last evening on the outskirts of Chard. The Naval helicopters from the Royal Navy Air Station at Yeovilton sometimes come here to practice load carrying, quite a treat! I went a bit mad and took 105 pics. Don't worry I won't bore you with them!! If it's not clear you have to imagine that I was standing on a hedge and being buffeted from the wind from the rotor blades.

I don't blame you for snapping away, it must have quite an experience. This isn't something you see often. I'd like to see more.

A superb shot, so great to see this. And I see it was a bit misty too. During 102 pictures.....only, by standing on the hedge and buffets from the wind from rotor blades? Well, your condition must be up to date, Jeff.

Excellent capture! :) Good thing it's over grass, if it was over sand your lens filter would be sand-blasted.

there is a company here that flies old helicopters and they lift heavy objects onto buildings.I always enjoy seeing them fly over.I expect they are nearly 50 years old(or more) but they rebuild them to new condition very interesting subject Jeff and capture

As I mentioned earlier, I would like that trailer, so if you can tell them to drop it off at 53° 34.35' N and 113° 31.23' W, I would be glad to pick it up from there, LOL!

A great shot my friend. This is the modern version of what we used in the 60’s. I would be the crewman, on his knees, in the hatchway! :o)
