I like this very much. Such a huge contrast between the cofines on the left and the fresher air on the right.

Mark, this has been such a wonderful series and it's almost sad to see it come to an end. I have to say in my personal opinion you may have saved the best for last, as this is truly an epic view from Chicago. The title for the image is perfect as the light seems to almost radiate and dance on the pillars. Truly a beautiful site and easy to say why this inspired you.

Now this one, for me, is more about light than shape, although that marvellous division of space is still there. I don't think you can help it ... that seems to be the way you see things. (Yay!) A gorgeous shot of the river and the surrounding architecture.

OHH! Such huge pillars and the wonderful tones, that I find so clean somehow. Makes the whole shot look awesome. These heavy pillars and the more open to the right makes such a fabulous contradictions. Such a Mark shot. Love it.

Stellar lighting effects and softly blended blues and whites dominate this spectacular image of the Chicago River and environs, Mark.

I love the softness of the pillars; only you could make concrete look soft and inviting! Again your love of this city comes through in this caressing reveal of something most people wouldn't even notice. Well done you!

I really like both of these Mark! The colors in this one, and the image behind the glass in the other one!

Very cool, in more ways than one! I feel as if we are being sucked into the center of the photo, matrix style. It isn't JUST a vortex it is actually a tubular vortex. lol. I look at this and I think, "I need to choose which channel to take! - Sunny and clear on the water? or dark, moody and shiny. Really like all the lavenders/blues.

Is this the Trump Tower? Those pillars look a bit Trump-ish to me, and if so, this is a marvelously intimate shot of the thing. I have to say that Trump Tower IS one of my favorite constructions in Chicago; I think it's because it changes color and looks like it is constructed from pure reflections, until you get up close and see that it's made of metal and is thus less likely to vanish one day in a puff of glitter when the wind gets too strong. And whether this is Trump or not, it's a marvelous photo and I love the contrast. There are multiple worlds in this, and there's a tension between them. There's enclosure on the left, but it's full of openness, and then there's more overt openness on the right, but the proportion of left and right makes the open bit seem a bit more enclosed. that creates such a wonderful tension that simply suck a viewer into a shot, and I think that tension (among other things) is what makes great visual art; it's a wordless thing that can only be conveyed visually and you've grabbed that here and it looks simply stunning!
