Description

many thanks for dropping by, just a post of a pic from a sunset in my city i took many years ago during the haymen fire here in colorado. but now we have the waldo fire in which i have been mentioning, our city is now on fire!!! the flames have moved from the upper foothills into the lower part and has destroyed several houses and the world famous flying w ranch, my mother just visisted this place a few weeks back for cancer surviors get together. it was est. in 1957 and is no more. all residents in a massive area on the north west of the are and have been evacuated. i'm about 25 miles east of the fire. so i will be safe as long as the city don't burn down. cdot has shut down interstate 25 for several miles to ease the evacuations going on, this is the wildest thing i have ever seen in colorado. been here since 1967. you can go to kktvnews.com for videos if you like.. was not a pleasent site seeing people loose their houses. news just said some 32.000 people so far have been evacutaed. so i pray.. lol and thanks a million for your concerns, prayers and attention. lol Steve thank you for the comments on my last: Planet Vixen thumb_2342951.jpg

Non ho veramente idea di cosa possa essere successo; allontanare 32.000 persone per un incendio è veramente molto triste. FANTASTIC SKY! :)

I am very sorry to hear this news Steve and I do hope they can get on top of those fires quickly. You still sound to be very close to them as they can move so fast, I hope you don't have to be evacuated. Sorry I haven't been keeping up with your postings but I am taking a break to do some more learning but will be back soon. I hope you get some rain soon.

Cruel things happened for those people. I hope you will be safe in the future and the fire will be fought and don't "eat" more houses.

My friend, your photo is very nice but I understand in what situation you find yourself only when I watched some footage of the ongoing fires in Colorado on YouTube. Unfortunately we can only hope and pray that everything will end soon, however, know that you are always in my thoughts. And with all that you have to think you also find the time to comment on my nonsense. Thanks, Steve. Anna

If I understand correctly, the red is caused by the smoke from the fires (kind of like, I guess, the deep red sunsets in L.A., caused by the smog). Well, it's a beautiful photo with really wonderfully delicate colors, but very sad all the damage the fires are doing! On a brighter note, congratulations on being selected for the "Last Week" gallery.
