Description
Taken at Clear View Farm in Waterman IL where they raise Cormo sheep for their wool. The sheep have all been jacketed to keep the wool in prime condition.
The sheep in the foreground was Molly, who was extremely interested in my clicking camera. You can see a much better image of the jacket if you look at the sheep behind her.
We were also treated to a hands on needle felting project, a spinning demonstration, a demonstration of how they prepare the shorn wool, cleaning and carding before it is made ready to spin.
And there was also an German Angora Rabbit breeder there who gave a talk on Angora yarn spinning.
It was very interesting and educational.

This rocks! Have you ever been in one of those situations where you look at a picture and can almost smell it? I get that sense with this shot, which means it's a really good shot. The only problem is that I have absolutely no clue how sheep smell? I'd assume they smell like wool, but the only wool I smelled recently had a fabric softener under-scent. And now that I've gone way off in a direction best left unexplored, I'll come back to this side or reality and say that I really like this shot. I love the details: especially Molly's eyes. The light is super.

I think she likes you! :) That sounds like a fun place. I would have loved to hear the lectures and see the demonstrations!
