My first bloom broke the surface 2 weeks ago and I was so excited after 3 years to finally get a gorgeous flower. Oh, well, I also learned that my first glimpse would be my next to last view of it. I saw it on Saturday, had the presence of mind to photograph it on Sunday before it was fully opened, and then realized I worked Mon.-Fri. and it would not be open when I left for work nor when I returned in the evening. By the following weekend, it was done. This is lovely. Beautiful job.

It looks as though you had another wet day. We could do with some of your rain down here as it is very dry even though it is winter. A super capture of this beautiful flower.
