Description

This is the original Liberty Bell casted in 1752 and was placed in the Pennsylvania State House (later renamed Independence Hall). I photographed this piece of history in Philadelphia in Jan 2011. The building in the background is in fact Independence Hall. I'm sure you all know the history but for those folks who do not, there is a great article in Wikipedia on the Liberty Bell. I thought this would be a good image to say - Happy Birthday America! Thank you for popping in and for your very welcome comments and favs on my last upload "SF Reflections - for Costa".

A marvelous photo, dear Carin. It looks like the bell is on fire, and I love all the different colors, f.e. from green to purple on this. The POV is wonderful, as also the textures on the wood and on the iron details.
