Description
This is the statue of the very (in)famous Rocky Balboa in Philadelphia! I shot this on a very cold morning in January 2011.

"You gotta be a moron... you gotta be a moron to wanna be a fighter." Rocky Balboa, 1976 Neat shot. I loved that movie when it first out. Didn't know Rocky had an actual statue in Philly but I certainly recognize the buildings and recall the scene.

This tends to bring a grin... of all the statues of famous people and all the richness of American history in that city, it seems everyone has to visit Rocky... How very American. LOL Great shot.

OMG, I didn't know there was a statue dedicated to Sylvester Stallone! He made several versions of his iconic Rocky Balboa character. That said, splendid POV, clarity and overall ambience in this capture, Carin!

Excellent. So nice to see them surviving, all our statues and bronzes are getting pinched here, a very lucrative crime it seems. Even graves are getting pillaged for the metal. Low life people eh?

Super shot Carin! All of my trips through Philly - I have never seen the 'Rocky' statue. WE will be driving through on October 12th and maybe the weather will cooperate!

Great shot, I can remember being dragged to this movie kicking and screaming LOL thought I would hate it, turned out to be one of my old time favs. And the whole audience was on there feet applauding at the end, including me. Nice work!!
