Description
This is another in my render series involving cross-over combinations of the characters and themes of the game "Neverwinter Nights 2" with those of the TV series "Fringe", as well as "Lost" and "Alias".
One of the reasons for this, now... anyways, is the apparent fast-approaching end of the "Fringe" series. A finely-tuned cast is about to be tossed into the bin of guest-spots and minor roles in future J.J. Abrams shows... or appearances in frivolous romcoms or other box-office duds... when they were all so well-suited and well-matched to the epic styles of heroic tales in which we first came to know them. An appalling process!
Since "Fringe" seems to be about rebooting the Universe until you get what you want, where everyone lives happily-ever-after ( or, at least, happier-than-ever-before ), then why not simply reboot the whole series into an entirely new reality... with the same cast(s) and paralleling scenarios... only with a new title and a greater, grander over-arching theme ( as well as some nicer scenery )?
Viewer interests have been shifting... the success of productions like "Game of Thrones" and "Brave" proves it. These days, a lot of folks are needing something that's a bit more primal and epic and inspirational than what a lot of tired, re-hashed and over-used science-fiction themes can provide.
Their show creators might perhaps do better by giving Fox Network their own personal version of GOT ( ... albeit, what would probably have to be a somewhat more "family-friendly" version )!
So... I give you a continuation of "Never-ending ( Fringe Friday ) Knights".
In this current image... nothing particularly apocalyptic ( yet ), just a little slice-of-life character study ( Forgotten Realms style, that is ) with what might be Neverwinter's equivalent of "The Sunshine Boys" ( or would that be "Grumpy Old Men"? ), the marginally-amicable dueling arcanists "Aldanon" and "Sand". With those roles played here, respectively, by my own John Noble M4 morph, and a Leonard Nimoy ( Spock, by... er... someone else who I've forgotten... ) M4 morph that I dialed back a bit and modified to make him look older.
Here, Sand, after failing in his first attempt, considers various other methods to use in order to distract Aldanon from his continuing experiments with Selective Gravitational Effects ( and from his lunch ).
To demonstrate the suitability of those actors to the roles shown here, I suggest that anyone interested do a web search for screenshots of the original characters from the game.
DAZ products used here include the "Mage Tower" along with some bits from Luke Ahearn's "Wizard's Place", "The Mage" for M4 with "Grey Alchemist" textures, and "Evilson" for M4 ( though Sand is not really evil... he just thinks he deserves better ).

Some NWN2 Quotes:
"Gods, Sand, you hold your nose so high it's a wonder you don't wear your hat on it." - Shandra Jerro
"Half the task will be him finding it and the second task will be trying to understand it when he tries to explain it." - Lord Nasher ( in reference to Aldanon )
"Oh! Good luck and be careful. Don't forget... if you fail we'll likely all be dead shortly... but don't let that weigh too much on you... good bye!" - Aldanon
"Seems my exceptional wit and cunning instinct for verbal duels has landed me in trouble yet again." - Sand
Sand: "Omens aren't good by definition, Aldanon."
Aldanon: "Oh, of course they are. Especially with a little milk and duskwood jam."

An excellent render... and some interesting details about one of my favorite tv programs. Sorry to hear the news that Fringe is ending. The storyline is brilliant and the science involved is just that "involved" and usually very true to life (quantum speaking that is).

Wonderful image. I am very sad to see the Fringe series coming to an end. Seems like all the good ones bite the dust. I'll also miss Alcatraz, oh well. I've come to the conclusion that most people don't want to have to "think" about a TV show. 30 minute mindless sitcoms or reality shows with hyped drama is more the style these days. Guess my library card will get a good work out in the future, lol.
