Soooo.... I was wrong about there not being fireworks tonight because of the rain. The decision to go ahead was made while it was still raining (other cities' displays were canceled), but the thunder and lightning had gone away. Unfortunately, so did a lot of people down at the harbor who'd gone to see them, including a lot of people from out of town. Anyhoo, I managed to get up to the roof where I work after they fired off the first few, then had to come back inside and grab my SD card, otherwise I would've only been able to get a handful of shots before running out of memory (only 32 MB internal). It was still raining off and on, plus some fog had rolled in. Mixed with the the smoke from the fireworks, about a third of the show was at least half obscured. Still, from my vantage point, I did manage to get a few decent (in my opinion) shots. However, I'll have to wait 'til I get to the computer at home to do anything more; this seems to be the only pic I snagged that I didn't need to do much with to make it presentable. Most of the other shots, as in previous years, might not yield decent results either, but there are a few that look alright.
