Description
This little beauty used to live just outside my front door. It lasted for many years and was, I suspect, planted by my Mother some years prior to her to death.
I was told by a number of gardeners that this was a fragile plant that had to be protected through winter but, as I am no gardener, I just let it fend for itself.
It did very well and survived a number of really cold winters.
It was finally displaced by the rampant brambles which keep springing up in both my gardens despite my best efforts to get rid of them.

Beautiful, these remind me of my childhood as my father was a real green fingered man and we had fuschia bushes everywhere.

Lovely shot of a difficult plant to capture.

Nice shot! We call it "princess' earrings" in my neck of the woods.
