Description

This little beauty used to live just outside my front door. It lasted for many years and was, I suspect, planted by my Mother some years prior to her to death. I was told by a number of gardeners that this was a fragile plant that had to be protected through winter but, as I am no gardener, I just let it fend for itself. It did very well and survived a number of really cold winters. It was finally displaced by the rampant brambles which keep springing up in both my gardens despite my best efforts to get rid of them. ------------------------------------------ Original Photograph: 13 Aug 2003

Beautiful, these remind me of my childhood as my father was a real green fingered man and we had fuschia bushes everywhere.

Nice shot! We call it "princess' earrings" in my neck of the woods.
