Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

What a fantastic shot! I gotta visit you soon! I should also say with me being typically me, I wondered if this image was given to someone as a gift, could it then be called "Free Radical Rhody?" And then I cringed at the implications of such a name. Would that make it a somewhat carnivorous plant, or at least toxic? The mind boggles, well...mine does, at any rate, but it doesn't take much to boggle me. Anyway...I'm rambling. What a shot! What a spectacular plant. I love the brilliant colors and the freshness. Stunning, really! I can imagine how wonderfully peaceful it must be there!

Beautiful! This one wasn't in bloom when we were there, although the red one on the other corner was looking especially nice. What a treat to see this!
