Description

The last one of this series is a bunch of roses from a rose creeper in Patrizio's property. The roses look a bit old-fashioned, and remind me of 19th century posies and ladies' straw bonnets in summer. The romantic mood is enhanced by the old wood shed supporting the creeper. yes, there's something 'old fashioned' and 19th c. about this collection, partly because of the delicate pastel hues, partly because of the way the petals are all open and yet hugging each other, and partly because the reds and pinks are caressed by very delicate yellows and yellow-oranges. And I agree that the background is beautiful and rustic, and a perfect foil for the flowers. A beautiful end to the series, less saturated and more delicate, as if to let us go with a gentle hug after the fireworks you showed us. A fav for the whole series, Sandra, it was a beautiful eye-popping voyage, and all the more exciting considering the places you found all these...
