Description


This is the cockpit of the Boeing N2S-3 'Kaydet' No. N747RB owned by Don Sloan of Dover, DE. I don't have a pilots license, and I have never flown in an open cockpit bi-plane, but looking at this beautiful, old aircraft I wondered what could have happened if I had been old enough to learn to fly in one of these, before transitioning to an A-6 for an instrument rating. I could easily see myself flying around on a sunny Sunday afternoon in one of these keeping track of the old instruments and checking out the scenery. And the engine sounded fantastic too.
