Description

this is the only photo I have of it and it is a Polaroid.I took a picture of it. I did not want to hook up my scanner I had lots of fun in this car I changed the entire front fenders/ grille after a mishap with an electric post. I worked all day before Christmas with snow dripping in my face with no help. I found the same color front end at a salvage for $45 . an owner of a 55 recently told me that the grille goes for at least $350.00 now

Back when style meant something....(smiles)....Like the ole' say'n goes....Wish I had 50 bucks for every classic I let slip through my fingers...And tell me about it Richard...Back in 1980 when we cleaned out my uncles garage we took a heap of miscellaneous parts (several trailers full) from different cars to the scrap yard.....Spring forward 25 years and then some genius invented Craigs List .....(sigh)... What some folks pay these days for original parts I swear.....(even bigger sigh)...lol...

Classic colors on these, tell me that isn't a pink one behind yours! My house was built in 1960 and the kitchen stove is that pink!

So this is a picture of a picture. Get the heck out of here. That is amazing! Hey dude too? That porch with the peaked roof at the eleven o'clock position? You know what that reminds me of? That movie "A Christmas Story"? You know, the kid wants the BB Gun? LOL. You blew my mind when you mentioned Christmas because of that. LOL.

Way back, when I was in high school, my boyfriend had a car like this. It was so cool when he picked me up after school and everyone would stare. I remember the day I gave him his ring back on the drive home and he let go of the steering wheel and refused to control the car until I took the ring back. I refused and the car drifted to the right, left the road, bumped over the shoulder and slowly made it's way down into a 6 foot deep drainage ditch. I jumped out, was careful mnot to step on any snakes, and walked the last mile and a half to my house. Boyfriend looked like a dummy sitting behind the wheel with grass up to the side window, sulking like a child. He called me an hour later and said he got someone to pull him out and wondered if I had reconsidered giving the ring back? I said no and hung up. Six months later I heard he had gone to Louisiana and got married to a young girl there. A year after that, he called me to ask if I'd go out on a date with him. Needless to say, I feel confident I made the right choice, even though I really loved that car of his. LOL
