Description

Inside the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Washington, DC. This is a huge wall mural honoring the astronauts that had landed on the moon. Guessing summer 1983 photo recently scanned. Zoom works. I was 12 years old when Neil Armstrong made the first step on the Moon. Unfortunately, my country was on war with Honduras at that time, so i missed this transcendental moment for humanity, but then had chance to see lunar rocks and an Apollo 11's Eagle replica, in the USA exhibition during an International Fair here. Great capture, Dana!

What a very impressive mural this must be. I can remember this event so well, our eyes were glued to out grainy B&W TV all day. It was a wonderful day in history.
