Description
Captured 7/6/12, around late noon, at the beautiful Rancho Los Alamitos in beautiful Long Beach, California.
This is the other half of the horse duo that I posted a few days ago. A beautiful draft/draught/shire equine, but most uncooperative as a subject to capture because it rarely stood upright long enough for a decent shot, preferring rather to bend over and nibble at the lawn, or what was left of it. When the steed did come over to the fence, it wouldn't be still for any length of time for a full head on portrait picture. I pleaded for it to be still, but was completely ignored, similar to how cats behave under like circumstances. At least its white counterpart cooperated in the posing department, which enabled me to get some cool photos of her.

Grazing is much more important to them, I'm sure; they're real beauties, and I love their furry ankles. Maybe if you'd offered them apples or carrots you could have gotten their attention? Or at least make them think you've got something in your pocket? Great shots, Harry!
