Description
The co-opting of all the worlds government by the Mega-Corporations had finally been realized. It all started so many years ago. The scheme was subtile and insideous beyond belief. First bring terror to them with a strike to the heart of the Nation, the next step was to use fear as a way of tearing away freedoms and rights from the citizens.. then, some sort of national crisis, a financial collapse that would tear the center out of the middle class....and of course one shouldn't forget the "dumbing down" of the citizens by feeding them lies and diluting history, taking away funds to run the public schools.... thereby gaining more and more control until finally they had it all. The proletariates had become no more than "feeders" who had to be eradicated before they gobbled up all the resources that were left... Now those who were left found themselves starving and reduced to hiding wherever they could find shelter, all while the private police hunted them down to be re-located to "iso-units" until they died....
And so, here we find Sally. Her mother had slipped out in the early hours of the morning to search for whatever food she might find... "stay in the shadows and don't make a noise until I get back", her mother had warned her before she left... Now many hours later the young girl wanders the boiler room of the ancient hotel, alone and frightened, wondering what she should do... and where was mom?
Thanks for the peek,
Seth

this could be the headline news in a newspaper of the future. and add the line this stupid humans have not been worth the gift of freedom they where given for free by the great one. i think a lot of people dont understand the constitution of the us. it says you have the right to prospere but it does not says that you should prospere at the costs of someone else, even destroy the next of kin to get what you want. the give and take has long left us now its take only. new slogan is "Eat the Weak". an excellent and of course frightening interpretation of todays life +- 50 years.

So sad but true, well written~ Poor little Sally...although she looks quite capable of self defense. I say more power to her =D but hopefully Mom will resurface in one piece. Excellent overall dark mood and spirit, a fantastic eerie portrait, Seth! 5 Stars & a fave~ I truly appreciate your recent comment, btw~ Thanks so much!

The story is so true. But.....I agree with bakapo, creepy and sad. I would held her close in my arms and together made the best of it. A precarious image......but very well done. gr.Rudy.

Not going to repeat over all that was said before as they all took a piece from what I was thinking and feeling...You had me from the title alone and Lenord hit the nail on the head with "Only thing Orwell had wrong was the Date". This character you created and portrayed in this piece is sad to view but at the same time phenomenal as well because it speaks volumes!.. (smiles)... Awesome Presentation Seth!!...Excellent Art!

Yea, America man. I cannot believe what people are willing to give up for the sake of a "false" security. Do we all have so much to loose? Do we not listen anymore to the words of Ben Franklin? And we still cannot get it together to tax the rich at a rate that even comes close to resembling the poor middle class. Brother you really did yourself justice here. I can just so clearly see this happening. What do you do when you've been told to stay put but now mommie's been picke up and relocated.

parts of that are right i fear.... great render bud!!!!

Fine one as a commentary of today based on Orwell. The big companies and their henchmen aka politicians steals from the peoples in our democracies...The evil red empire is gone - when do they robbery-clans fall?..If not aware a few companies, families or persons own almost all of the world in a few year...Democracy?..

Fantastically haunting image and very pertinent comments too. The combination of long dark hair and pale skin is such a spooky combination. I mentioned the other day that you were the best at "dark" art and you've certainly proved this with your most recent images. Brilliant.
