Description
This was one of the first tuna boats I served on. We had a Bell 206 Jet Ranger helicopter and back then (early 1980's) I was the helicopter mechanic. Had to sleep in an 8 man room. The ship was about 200 feet long and we could hold 900 tons of tuna fish when full. It was one of the smaller ships. It sank a few years after I got hired on to a bigger boat. Almost sank when I was on her, but by the grace of God, we got the bilge pumps working.

A fantastic photo! I come from an island and we had in the habour lots of fisherboots and that remind me at this time! Glad you didn't drown!Hugs Ute

Gorgeous shot. I bet it was nicer being the mechanic than the guy stuffing the fish into the hold.
