BIO I'm an illustrator, and for the last 15 years I have been doing almost exclusively digital work--mostly covers for e-books and small presses; fantasy, SF and Paranormal Romance covers are my specialty. I use Poser, Photoshop and Painter, and a nifty little paint program called ArtRage. I have been lucky enough to have work shown on the BBC's The Sky at Night, done promotional artwork for the Hugos, and have digital art tutorials published in Michael Burn's Femme Digitale and Digital SciFi Art (Watson-Guptill 2004) as well as DVD covers, cd covers and e-book covers, most recently for Liquid Silver Books, Edge/Tesseract and Dragon Moon Press. I'm also a member of the International Association of Astronomical Artists. . When I have time, I do acrylic paintings for fun.
Commissions: I do 3d texturing and backgrounds now rather than book covers, and I do appreciate a good UV template to work on. Thanks for checking out my bio!

Schweeet!! County fairs rock...little early in the summer for one though, huh? We seemed to always hit the early fall fairs. But I guess it is about 4H time. Been a lot of years since I did the 4H thing...eeek!

Wonderful! What fun! :o) 4H was always a blast...and fortunately our leader was a neighbor who also had a mini farm. Not many of those around these parts! Good luck with the move!

Glad to see you're doing well! And the boy and his cow are very cute, but serious in their way. I hope seeing all that livestock helped give you references for your work.

Kane County! I can't begin to tell you how much dental equipment is floating around out there: when I worked in the moving business, moving really heavy dental office things from place to place, a lot of really heavy stuff found its way into brand, spanking new dental offices in Kane County. I would rather have walked around photographing things, but alas, I was stuck with moving heavy stuff! Oh well...those days are over and I don't miss them, but I do miss seeing places a bit more open than Chicago. I like this shot as I remember constant references to the county fair whenever I was out that way (near county fair time) and this shot brings back those memories. Cows are such odd creatures; there's something endlessly appealing about them, though I have to say that I'm partial to swine: they get such a bad rep, and it's all because they don't sweat! Funny how that works. This is a fun photo!

"They were great (though I think I ruined my shoes in the Swine exhibit)" Don't you just hate it when that happens? lol :) That is one fine looking speciman of a cow and it makes me think about having some nice Porterhouse steaks on the grill tonight :)

Nice photo... And it demonstrates the provenience of the word 'cowboy' in a lovely snap-shot... Such a 'narrow towel' ( excuse me ... is a one to one translation of the german idiom 'Schmales Handtuch' that's an periphrasis for a thin teenager boy or guy) and in contrast this hoofed 'force of natur'... Astonishing, how patiently the cow/bull (sorry, can't see the udder) accepts the guidance.
