Description

Vue8Frontier/DazStudio/Photoscape3.5/Photoshop Working on displacement and metablob hyperterrains this time around...Pteranadon from Daz3D and imported from DazStudio.Rocky island created from spheres, cylinders and a square that were converted to a metablob group, then textured in a mossy rock preset that I changed the bump on and added displacement.Vegetation consists of a Giant Blossom Tree,Z-Megaspores,Red Devil's Flippers and Low Crawling Bushes(all from Cornucopia3D).Two procedural terrains with bases clipped were added to two areas to create gathered detris, textured in a Close-up Ground Cover material.Water is a preset Red Water, sky is the Default Sunset with modifications to the clouds and light.Rendered with Global Radiosity.Postwork in Photoshop consisted of minor touch-ups and signature. In Photoscape a bloom effect and framing edge were added, then the image was re-sized in Photoshop. Thanks for taking the time to view, and for any comments you wish to leave!

Dig the lighting and positions of rocks and plants. The pterosaur seems a bit static, almost like another plant or rock. Its position is dynamic but I don't get a feel for its motion. Maybe some blurring or particles flying behind it would give it a little life.

The lighting and setting are amazing. I agree with lhumungus, there could be a little more life in the Pteranadon. That said, it is still a spectacular image.
