Description
Continuing on from my last posting, Abbey Mills Pumping Station:
Inside 'The Cathedral of Sewage', everything is so wonderfully ornate and so very Victorian (as will be seen in tomorrows post).
I rather suspect that the pumps were not operated by electricity when the station was first opened but it must have been converted some time later.
Even so, the control panel for the pumps is so wonderfully simplistic, functional and old fashioned that I just had to get a shot of it.
