Description

Our annual trip up into the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This mountain range covers about 25 percent of the area, of state of New Hampshire, is part of the Appalachian Mountains and are considered the most rugged mountains in the six states that make up New England. According to tradition, the name came from early explorers who first sighted the mountains from ships, off the coast, and seeing the highest peaks that would often be snow-capped. An alternate theory is that the mica-laden granite, of the summits, looked white to observers. Thank you Wikipedia for that information. The bear warnings are real and these signs are on every door. One of the mornings, two bears had the chamber maids trapped in the linen closet. The landscapers chased them off with water hoses. They really are not that big, they are NOT like Grizzle Bears. Do not bother to zoom. Yes, that is my shadow. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana
