Description

I'm breaking the fourth wall for Barb (aka. goldie here at Renderosity). Barb has followed my gallery for several years now and is a very remarkable and prolific Poser artist in her own right. It is sometimes difficult to keep up with her level of creativity and I'm always impressed by the quality of her artistry. Complete with vibrant, rich colours and dramatic moments which I very much enjoy. She also provides very thoughtful comments and I always look forward to hearing from her. Thanks goldie for all your support, it is very much appreciated. This is another Poser rendering which grew rather organically. That is, starting with one character (Gwen, the girl on the left) and slowly building a scene around her. Sometimes I add a few small naughty things to amuse those who look closely - snicker. And I'm always experimenting with textures, lights, props, etc. This expansion ends of course when my computer finally refuses to render the scene anymore. I probably could save myself a lot of grief (my avatar) if I would just stick to portraits and pin-ups but I just can't help myself. Oh, by the way, look at the Valenzia character on the right. Surprisingly, she is the exact same character portraying the praying girl in Stained Light. It just goes to show one what a difference varying little details like hair style and colour, expression and dress can do to re-invent a character's apparent persona. Have a great weekend everyone. Sorry, no nudity. Though, there are Gwen's bare arms - it was hot that day.

Clayton, it would seem once more you have outdone yourself my friend. This is a beautiful dedication to a wonderful lady who is very deserving. I completely agree with your thoughts on Barb's artistic talent as well as the kindness of her soul. She was one of my first friends upon coming here and remains an inspiration to so many today

This has such a nice vibe to it and a wonderful, urban feel...it's funny because the neighborhood where I work is a neighborhood that has changed, radically over the years. As a child, I had a reason to visit the area whenever I was doing things with my dad (being the little boy seeing what dad does at work) and I now work bare steps away from that old place. It's a different world, and I mention all of this because something in this image reminds me of that area, back when it was less spit and polish than it is now. I think it's the characters: the way that they seem so poised and so urban and with a bit of something under the surface. I love it when an image grows organically, and when another artist is able to tickle one's muse and allow potent creative juices to flow. All of that goes into why I like this image: there's so much to see and to explore. It's not static or boring in any way...and the thumbnail makes me think of a Kill Bill sort of movie poster!
