Description
This is a tad tongue in cheek but I know Chip will like it! The main image was captured in Namibia in 2010 and the strange alien-craft-looking lampshade I captured by Tara and Bill's house in Seattle.

Oh my dear! I absolutely adore this! I want one! What's their fuel consumption profile? How many light years can you get to the gallon of gas? See, these are the questions you inspire! I love this. The whole scene is put together quite nicely...it's got a nice X-Files vibe to it, but without that annoying conspiracy running through it. I love the muted tones and the idea that a lampshade AND Namibia can be combined this way. This is so perfect and so in-line with the way I think. Putting stuff together like this is just so much fun and it's so important to think about, really...because if you can do this with art, you learn how to do this in regular, mundane life...and so, ultimately, life can be a game of putting Seattle-based lampshades in Namibia...or something like that! This is a marvel. So potent on so many levels, and on top of it, this is a mighty fine image! I love it! Thank you for the dedication, and I miss you tons, too!

I recognized the spaceship the second I saw it! LOL! It's gone now, as is the bridge, so it's quite possible that lampshade has moved on to Namibia! I love what you've done here. A super combination!
