An image of my little granddaughter's hands combined with some flowers I shot a while ago.
So, for the first time in the 23years that I have been living in Johannesburg, it is snowing today. Yes - big old snowflakes. With the snow comes the cold and as I type here, our temperature is about 2C - and our houses are not heated like you folks in the north! It is only slightly warmer inside. It is freaking freezing....

How amazing is this composition! it has almost got a religious undertone, if you ask me - maybe somebody is praying for warmer weather - for your comfort ... very cold Winters nights for us here in OZ as well, something we haven't experienced for many decades either, BB

What a wonderful image! I love the desaturation and the hints of color. The whole thing seems so dreamy and soft, but not insubstantial...just soft. I love the emotional intensity of it. The hands look as if they're a part of the flowerscape too and that's quite an intriguing effect. And, as for the weather...maybe if you have some key lime cheesecake, the cold will feel a bit different, especially since you've already survived a bit of Chicago winter, but hopefully, it won't stay cold for long! I'm sending warmness your way.
