Calla Lily prose by Carol Cavalaris © Credits: This is the first in my new series called, "Flowers In Fancy Vases", featuring the magnificent calla lily. Created in Photoshop CS, using calla photo sources, painting techniques, calla lilies by jaguarwoman, blended with an Organica background by romanceworks. I have such a huge amount of catching up to do! I suppose this is as good a place to start as any! And what an image. I happen to like the colors, especially, and the idea that this is a painting (even if literal paint wasn't used) just makes it all the more spectacular. I love modern, digital art in that it allows such wonderful crossovers and creates new genres of art. I love your use of brushes and filters, as they allow you to create something rather than to simply emulate. You do these so well and I particularly like your use of color, especially in this piece. It's quite marvelous!

It's always said that Mother Nature can't screw up colors and neither can Carol. What a wonderful blend. I would never get anywhere with this work on my own. It's just knock-out.
