Description

Here is the final (and for now at least) completed render of this particular piece for this piece of my first gaming character. For those who did not look at my original of her, this piece was the revisit and re-render when I was able to get Reality 2 for DAZ and run it through LuxRender. I did this in DAZ 3 Advanced. I have only recently began forcing myself to work in DAZ4 Pro. Most of my work is of the characters that I have played over the years and still do. It is odd to tell people that I have a connection with all of my gaming characters but what people dont know is that I do not just slap one up, toss up any old name and off I go to "rule the world and pwn every newb" out there. It takes forever for me to make one. Some characters take days or longer and I have been known to look through dictionaries, encyclopedias, thesauruses, and history sites, name websites that offer name meanings (major ones are of Celtic and Irish background especially for my pets!). So, yes, I have a connection with my characters and the ones you will see in my art have been with me for over 12 years now and have moved with me from so many games I will not even start to name them here but I guarantee that most have heard of almost all of them. This character in particular was essentially me and though she has grown over the years to become somewhat her own character in ways, she is very much a part of my personality; it was how I adapted and learned to roleplay and grow as a gamer. With all of this history said... each character from my gaming has a piece of me in them and I will put snippets of their story in my notes from time to time for anyone interested. These snippets are mostly of the character themselves and not of me, but can also give very small glimpses to the reader of the person behind the characters themselves as well and that, my friends, is what I personally feel that art, in all of its forms, all of its types across the board for anyone anywhere, no matter the skill level or whether you think it is art or I think it is, is all about... expressing who we are how we can, in the moment. I hope you enjoy this moment that I have shared with you as much as I did creating it. =) (Please see original for credits of items used from DAZ)

Thank you so much, Razor. I absolutely LOVE "shinies". I fell in love with how the armor just popped compared to the original and all of the reflections just happened on their own so that is all completely kudos to the artist(s) who made the set. =)

Very enjoyable in fact. This is a vast improvement over the first version you posted. The armor's bright highlights really make the textures pop. I was wondering whether you were using Daz or Poser as you're putting your images into the "Beginner's" galleries. I think it's time to give up that little moniker, this is very nice.

I am using DAZ4 Pro as of now. The one of Destiny and her trusty dragon, Delbaeth was done in DAZ4 and rendered in Reality as well. I was not very happy with the level of details on that one but I was on a time limit with that one and I hate to have to say I took what I got and ran with it off the press so to speak. If I had my druthers I would have scrolled my view in a little closer a click or two and re-soaked that for another 3 hours (sorry for my odd language, it will take me some time to learn the proper terms around here LOL).

Thank you so much everyone for the kind words about my piece and the ratings. It means so much to me to receive all of your compliments with this one being so close to my heart as it is. For anyone interested, the armor used is Angeluz by Val3Dart & Lestat over at DAZ and I did not tweak any of the shaders, this is straight out of the box (I love this armor). I did not list the DAZ items under this piece since I listed it with the original and I was so tired by the time I posted this up. My apologies. =)

Exceptional render! Great work. I'm learning with Poser 6 and Poser 2012. This gives me encouragement. I haven't worked with DAZ 4Pro yet. datadraw1 Kevin.

Hi datadraw1, thank you so much for looking and leaving a comment. It means more than I can begin to say to have someone tell me that a piece of mine gives them encouragement; I am glad to hear that it does and thank you. =)
