At long last! I have my 3 long yearned for rats! It's been some 5 months since I first "ordered" them! They are 6 weeks old and VERY scared! The trip home from Malmö must have scared them a good bit. And, I must look like a frightening 30 storey tall King Kong figure grabbing for them.
The top one is the least scared and most curious. The middle one is a bit more scared and less curious. But the bottom one is VERY scared and not curious. It hides or clings to the cage so it's almost impossible to pick it up. I like the color of this last one most. I suspect I'll have a time of it getting them to trust me (they don't respond yet to my holding out food to them, but, ate ALL the corn kernels in the mixed vegetables I gave them, once my back was turned! I hope they eat the peas, too).
The photos are taken with them running singly around in the bath tub. I suspect they didn't like the flash, despite my muting it with masking tape. They were constantly running away from the camera, so it was very difficult to get these photos. I don't understand why the graininess in these photos as compared to other photos I've taken with my little digital camera.
Now to cook some dinner for myself and my rats!
Enjoy!

Very cute rats I know that the Pavlov conditioning will work and they'll have you trained to give them food

Sorry mate but we will have to disagree on this one lol. We had them in the study on the side of the house here a while back and they destroyed some irreplaceable stuff...Grrr.

No thanks... but enjoy your little pets.

You know for rats M, they're quite cute and fluffy! They'll soon settle down, once they realise your not going to eat them. I like Mikes comments too - LOL :)

These are absolutely adorable =) I owned a rat many years ago, he was extremely smart and well-trained~ Have fun with your new furry friends! Sweet captures!

So you have triplets! I am so glad you have them. I have talked several people into getting pet rats for their children instead of gerbils or hamsters. They make much better pets. I have never had anyone say they were sorry. All reports were great! I know alot of people don't like them, but if you compare the problems they cause to the problems people cause for other people.......murder, rape, theft, well, I think they must not be so bad. They are all beautiful..Now we need some names. Boys, girls, both?
