Description

A follow up image to my BA concorde. This one opereated by Air France. I wanted to do this image as a respectful tribute to the victims of Air France flight 4590 in the air and on the ground. Thanks for looking.

The Concorde...a high point in aviation history...we've got one here at Boeing's Museum of Flight. It is a thrill just to walk around and through it. I never got that opportunity when they were operational.

The Concorde! As Bill said, the high point of Civil Aviation, the airliner everyone wanted to better but never did.. The Airliner THAT should have been either flying today, with better avionics or as MkII.. The fact it was stopped by cock-up by another airline, ground staff and Governments, just wants to make you cry.. Just look at it.. It needs to fly just because of the way it looked! Jeez! It's actually beautiful! The designers got it spot on! It must be noted that in France (WELL DONE THE FRENCH!), they have kept one in live condition, it is able to fly but has not yet.. Possibly they are thinking of doing pleasure flights.. Now... :-) Thanks mate.. More! Rob

Gee, vintage aircraft are really getting along aren't they? Concorde? Space Shuttles? What next?

I would have loved a flight on one of these. But in my backpacking days, all I could ever afford was economy on 747's!

My God this is sheer poetry. Concorde/Concord was always one of the most beautiful machines ever created by mankind. This just evokes that sense of effortless beauty. I love it.
