Description
So.... I've been MIA a bit. Had some fine art commissions to work on, and then I just got so unfocused. Anyway, I'm back! Refocusing and getting some work done.
I'll be honest, I never do portraits. While they're pretty and simple and I'm sure there will be more from me upcoming, I love the draw of a dramatic or complex picture that tells a story. (They also take me much longer to complete unfortuantely). But for these purposes, Im going to be experimenting with a few portraits here and there for something different.
This lady is Jade, the lead character of a book called "Hunting" by SM Hineline. You can find it on Amazon for Kindle if you're interested, its a pretty quick read about vampires and werewolves and all that good stuff. No romance here, just good old fashioned mystery, action, and interesting mythology. Anyway, I designed the original cover for the author, and since then she's asked me to illustrate all the characters while she works on a follow up in the series.
So all that to say, this is my introduction of Jade - a human ambassador to a modern day vampire kingdom. More character introductions to come! And as always, thank you so much for all your support and friendship and lovely comments. They mean so, so much to me.
