Description

Years ago I painted a commissioned piece featuring a 1927 replica Harley Davidson board track racer for the very talented person who made the items for collectors. These motorcycles captured my imagination nearly as much as those early flying machines. Although I'm sure it's not entirely true, I always imagine the riders taking these out for "tests" on some rural road...then tinkering with them in some rural barn. (Having owned my share of motorcycles, that's what I would have done... even if I'm not as crazy as they were!)Anyway, that's where I went with this. 1900's Indian board track racer: I thought I got it on sharecg (free) but I can't locate it now, otherwise I would proffer hefty gratis to the modeler. Somewhat re-suited to the render by myself. Wild "test pilots": M3 with riding outfits cobbled together with items for M3 from Poser world, a great resource, RDNA leather helmets Adventure Gear, Sweater by Uzilite nicely grouped for my nefarious schemes, and one rider's boots and pants WW2 German soldier uniform by Core Arts, the other, Canadian Mountie uniform from said Poser World (I highly recommend the site as a resource!). This is so cool Bill !! The pov and poses give a real dynamic feel, as already mentioned the subtle water splashes are a great touch. It's a bit of a jolt to open one of your posts and see neither ships or planes but these alternative subjects with fascinating backstory are a joy and so full of your usual flair and style.....10/10+

Back in a time when you could 'Tinker' with your machine with just a couple of spanners and a screwdriver. Great yesteryear scene and I agree, you could just imagine these guys back at that barn after a burnout working on their bikes. Wonderful!!!
